It all began back when I was studying millinery. The idea of making bridal headwear started when I made my first bridal cocktail hat in school. For some reason I've always had a soft spot in my heart for bridal wear. I'm a professional milliner and a dressmaker and I have always known that I want to build my career in the clothing industry. But back then, starting my own company was not something that I had dreamed about. I used to say that I will never become an entrepreneur and then, well, look what happened. I guess you should never say never.

Fast forward to the time I was planning my own wedding. I had found my dream wedding dress and for a long time I had wanted to make a wedding veil for myself. I had a vision in my mind of the perfect veil, but I couldn't find that type of veil in any bridal store. It was a perfect opportunity to put my skills to use and create the veil I had always dreamed of. So the first wedding veil that I ever made was for my own wedding. And it came out just the way I wanted it to be.

In our collection we have a veil called Toscana which is made based on my own wedding veil. It has the same measurements and design, only the materials that I used in the original veil are different. And till this day this particular veil length is still one of my favourites. My husband and I spent our honeymoon in Tuscany and it is truly one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. The beautiful landscapes are like a little piece of heaven on earth. To keep this memory alive, I named this veil Toscana, to always remember our wedding day and the places where we went on our honeymoon in Tuscany. And to always remind myself of how and where everything started.

After some time, I started to consider entrepreneurship more seriously and started thinking what prospects do I have in making my profession into a business. And so it happened, that one day at a friend's kitchen table I wrote down on a piece of paper my business idea "wedding veils". From that day on, what used to be just a passing thought, started to become a reality. I started developing the idea and plan out what I really wanted this brand to be, what the key elements would be, what the collection would look like and what was my purpose in all this.

After endless hours of planning, sewing, trying, failing and overthinking everything, my collection was finally born and the store was opened to the public.

For me as a maker, it has always been extremely important to use high quality materials when creating clothing, hats and other accessories. That is also the case in my company. High quality materials are essential in veil making. How the materials feel to the touch and against your skin. These are important factors to pay attention to when designing wedding veils.

Craftsmanship is an art form that I carry close to my heart. The desire to create something beautiful with my own hands is an inherent part of my personality. It is something that every person who lives with a need to create, can relate to. It is a fiery drive inside of you that you simply just can't get rid of and at some point in your life you just have to make a decision to follow that creative passion or to suffocate it forever and live a miserable life. I decided to follow it. I took the risk, quit my safe job and built my own business. And here I am, making things with my hands. Like I was created to do.

With love,
